Allan Dowdeswell is a farm boy turned graphic designer, business owner, multimedia programmer, and web developer. He operates Confidant Communications, a small design and development company in Saskatoon, Canada. He has been producing print and digital media since 1995. It has been the perfect profession for him to nurture his passion for learning and creativity. His experience includes audio, video, music, animation, games, websites, and web applications. He was an early adopter of Flash, Mambo, and WordPress. He has deep knowledge of Joomla and is an enthusiastic user of the Haxe programming language and OpenFL. Allan is a certified member of the Design Professionals of Canada (CDP) and has been a speaker at multiple BarCamp and Haxe conferences. In recent years he has been using his knowledge of 3D technology and browser-based applications to develop a new Joomla component called 3DBug. He enjoys family, worship, guitar, piano, reading, badminton, slow-pitch, hunting, fishing, humour, and retro gaming.
